Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie

Pineapple anti-inflammatory smoothie

Ingredients

  • 200 g fresh pineapple (or frozen), cut into pieces (2 cm)

  • 200 g banana, frozen and cut into pieces (2 cm)

  • 200 g ice

  • 4 - 6 cm piece fresh turmeric, peeled

  • 2 cm piece fresh ginger, peeled

  • 3 sprigs fresh mint, leaves only

  • 1 lime, flesh only

  • 100 g fresh baby spinach leaves

  • 100 g walnuts (soaked or activated)

  • 300 g coconut water

  • 200 g coconut water, as needed to desired consistency

  • fresh mint, leaves only, for garnishing

Preparation

  1. Place pineapple, banana, ice, turmeric, ginger, mint, lime, spinach, walnuts and coconut water into mixing bowl and blend 2 min.

  2. Add up to 200 g more coconut water to desired consistency and blend 10 sec. Transfer into serving glasses and garnish with extra mint leaves before serving.

To make this recipe nut free, replace the walnuts with sunflower seeds
